Glenwood Springs is the ideal weekend getaway for families because it has so much to offer from Iron Mountain and Glenwood hot springs pools, to the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park to ziplining across the river.  It is chocked full of amazing restaurants and small boutiques alike.  This is one of my favorite towns to visit for a long weekend with the kids.  If you are lucky enough to book your stay ahead of time at the Hotel Colorado, be sure to ask for Teddy Roosevelt's room.
