When you visit Mesa Verde, it is like being transported back in time.  In 1906 President Theodore Roosevelt designated it the first National Park of its kind.  Now it has over 4700 archeological sites and 600 dwellings.  To truly experience Mesa Verde National Park, you need to give yourself at least 3-4 days and book a group tour or a private tour to get the best experience of this remarkable landmark.
